| GUIDANCE NOTES FOR AUTHENTICATION |

General Principle All documents originating from Jordan that are to be served in China, such as Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, Power of Attorney, Affidavit etc., should be authenticated by the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan and finally authenticated by the Chinese Embassy. Procedure For official document (such as Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, etc.) should be first, authenticated by the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan and then authenticated by the Chinese Embassy. For unofficial document issued by local notary public (such as Power of Attorney, Affidavit etc.) should be firstly authenticated by local courts and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then authenticated by the Chinese Embassy. To apply for document authentication, please submit your authentication document (original & Xerox), passport and other documents required by the consular officer. The processing time is 4 working days. It is 13JD per document for civil documents, 16JD per document for commercial documents. In case of emergency, pay rush fee: 1 working day additional 22JD, and 2 working days additional 15JD.
