APPLICATION FOR VISAS TO CHINA


For Mainland of China

I. TOURIST VISA

A tourist visa is usually valid for three months, good for single or double entries with duration for 30 days. Your expense in China should be guaranteed.  Please make sure the following documents are ready:

 Valid passport with blank visa pages (6 months' validity).
 A duly completed application form with one "2×2" photo.
 An invitation letter from your friends or relatives in China (if requested)

II. BUSINESS VISA

To apply for business visa, please submit the following:

 Valid passport with blank visa pages (6 months' validity).
 A duly completed application form with one "2×2" photo.
 A Visa Notification issued by the Chinese government or organizations authorized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

III. EMPLOYMENT VISA

To apply for employment visa, please submit the following:

 Valid passport with blank visa pages (6 months' validity).
 A duly completed application form with one "2×2" photo.
 An original copy of Visa Notification issued by the Chinese government or organizations authorized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 An Employment License issued by relevant Chinese authorities.
 Physical Examination Record is required for those who will stay in China for more than six months (forms of physical examination and the lists of designated hospital are available at the visa counter).
    
VI. STUDENT VISA

To apply for student visa, please submit the following:

 Valid passport with blank visa pages (6 months' validity).
 A duly completed application form with one "2×2" photo.
 Foreign Student Visa Application Form (JW201 or JW 202 form) confirmed by the Ministry of Education of China. Admission notice from the school of acceptance.
 Physical Examination Record (only for applicants planning to study in China for more than six months).

V. TRANSIT VISA

To apply for transit visa, please submit the following:

 Valid passport with blank visa pages (6 months' validity).
 A duly completed application form with one "2×2" photo.
 For Ordinary Transit, the visa of the destination country and the onward air ticket to the destination country is also needed.
 For seaman, a guarantee letter from your shipping company, as well as the Visa Notification issued by the Chinese government agencies or organizations authorized by the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also needed.

VI. VISA ISSUED AT PORT OF ENTRY

For entry into China, aliens shall apply for visas from Chinese diplomatic missions or consular posts.

Aliens who hold ordinary passports issued by countries which have diplomatic relations or official trade links with China as well as letter(s) or telegram(s) from authorized units in China, may, under any of the following circumstances where they must necessarily rush to China but have no time for visa application to the aforesaid agencies, apply to the visa-granting departments at entry ports:
(1) They are invited at the last moment by a Chinese host to come to China for a trade fair;
(2) They are invited to come to China to submit a tender or sign a formal economic or trade contract;
(3) They come to China by appointment to supervise the inspection of import and export commodities or to participate
in a check-and-accept operation in accordance with contracts;
(4) They are invited to participate in the installation of equipment or in the emergency repair of engineering projects;
(5) They come to China at the request of the Chinese side to solve a problem of claims;
(6) They are invited to come to provide technical advisory services;
(7) They come to China due to a last-minute change in the composition of a visiting group and with consent of the
Chinese side after the visas are granted;
(8) They come to China to see patients in critical conditions, or to undertake funeral matters;
(9) Owing to force majeure, transit visas holders cannot leave the country within 24 hours by taking the original plane or by taking other means of transport;
(10) Other invited guests who really have no time for visa application to the aforesaid Chinese diplomatic missions or consular posts, and who hold letter(s) or telegram(s) from competent authorities who give the consent for the invited guests to apply for the visa at the designated entry ports.      

Visa-issuing departments at port of entry are stationed at the following ports:
Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin,  Dalian,  Fuzhou,  Xiamen,  Xi'an,  Guilin, Hangzhou, Kunming, Guangzhou (BaiyunAirport),  Shenzhen (Luohu & Shekou),  Zhuhai (Gongbei)

Visa issued at port of entry does not apply to nationals of the United States of America.

VII. PROCESSING TIME AND FEES

Time:
The normal processing time is 7 working days. For 3 working days, we charge additional 15JD. For 1 working day, we charge additional 22JD.

Fees:
 Single Double Multiple within 6 months Multiple within 1 year

Citizens of third countries (e.g. Iraq) 22JD 33JD 44JD 66JD
 

For Hongkong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) of China

Any person with the Jordanian passport may visit Hongkong, with visa exemption for tourism, family visiting or business purposes, and stay there for not more than two weeks.
