Counselor Luo Wenjun Attends Ceremony for Donation of Emergency Vehicles

On February 26th, a significant handover ceremony took place at the Civil Defense Directorate in Amman, Jordan, marking the donation of emergency vehicles from China to Jordan. The donation included 10 ambulances and 20 firefighting trucks. In attendance were Mr. Luo Wenjun, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Jordan, Mohammad Al-Omari, Director of the Civil Defense Directorate, and Anwar Salama Al Tarawneh, Assistant Director for Operations and Training.

During the ceremony, Mr. Luo expressed deep appreciation to the teams from both countries whose diligent efforts contributed to the successful implementation of the project. He emphasized the current global challenges faced by the international community and highlighted Chinese President Xi Jinping's proposal of the "Global Security Initiative" in 2022, offering innovative approaches to address these challenges. Mr. Luo expressed his hope that China and Jordan can strengthen security cooperation within the framework of this initiative.

Al-Omari conveyed gratitude for China's support to Jordan's civil defense efforts. He acknowledged that the project supported by the Chinese government will enhance the capabilities of the Civil Defense Administration in fulfilling their duties and providing humanitarian services to the Jordanian people in firefighting, rescue, and ambulance operations. Al-Omari emphasized Jordan's commitment to fostering a friendly and constructive relationship with China, expressing optimism for future cooperation in the field of civil defense.
