On October 16, Ambassador of China to Jordan Chen Chuandong attended the 15^th anniversary celebration of TAG Confucius Institute and a seminar on the Belt and Road cooperation.

Ambassador Chen congratulated TAG Confucius Institute on its 15^th anniversary and lauded its contribution to introducing Chinese culture, enhancing friendship between China and Jordan, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation and fostering people-to-people communication. He expressed his gratitude to all organizations and individuals for their support for the Institute, and his hope that the Institute gives full play to its advantages to achieve greater success.

Ambassador Chen pointed out that the year 2023 marks the 10^th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, and the third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation would be held soon. China and Jordan are natural partners in the Belt and Road cooperation and should take the Forum as an opportunity to promote more progress in practical cooperation in various fields.

Ambassador Chen emphasized China’s position, consensus and joint action with Jordan on the current Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

More than 100 people attended the event, including Chairman of TAG  Global Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, President of Shenyang Normal University Dr. Yang Song, diplomatic envoys in Jordan, and representatives from the education sector in Jordan.
