H.E. Mr. Chen Chuandong, newly-appointed ambassador of China to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, presented a copy of his credentials to Ambassador Yousef Batayneh, Secretary-General of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates (MFAE) on January 13.
Ambassador Chen spoke highly of existing good relations between China and Jordan and commended Jordan's constructive role in international and regional affairs. He reaffirmed the importance China attached to developing friendly relations with Jordan and said that, as China's new ambassador, he was fully committed to promoting bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields, and enhancing mutual trust and friendship.
Secretary-General Batayneh welcomed Ambassador Chen to his new post and concurred with Chen's comments on the good bilateral relations between the two countries. He expressed full support to Ambassador Chen tour of duties in Jordan.
Ambassador Chen arrived in Amman on December 28, 2020 and ended his home quarantine this week.
