King, Queen inaugurate Prince Al Hussein Hospital

His Majesty King Abdullah II on Tuesday inaugurated Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II Hospital in Ein Al Basha District north of Amman, in the presence of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah. The 130-bed hospital is in implementation of a 2007 royal visit to the Baqa'a region to cater for more than 300,000 people living in nearby areas. Their Majesties toured different wards at the health facility, where they were briefed by Minister of Health Nayef Al Fayez on services provided at the hospital. The King and Queen checked on health conditions of a number of patients in the hospital.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by senior officials and the Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Yu Hongyang, whose country provided a JD10 million soft loan, to help build the JD18 million facility.(Jordan Petra News Agency)
